RSP 1068 Standby Light Is Out

I had been noticing over the past few months that the fluorescent blue standby light on my 1068 would occasionally flicker but now it is completely out. Everything else seems to still work fine. Is this going to be a problem down the road or am I OK if I just live with it as is? I'd rather not send it back for repairs as I already did a few years ago for other issues, but now my unit is well out of warranty. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I've seen this before as the light can fail after 5+ yerars of being on... Unless it worries you - just leave it - as the repair will mostly likely be $100+

    Cheers

Assuming it's an LED, they rarely fail outright unless they aren't driven properly. I would either ignore it, or if you're handy with electronics/soldering, pop 'er open and check for bad solder joints near the LED. Replacing it most likely requires unsoldering/soldering.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll just ignore the lack of blue light.

I believe the LED is on it's own board along with the power button (if I'm thinking correctly)... it's like $35 - $40 to replace it.

Just takes a bunch of screws to get the front panel off and a few (3 or 4) wires to disconnect.

Model: RB-1552 MkII standby light stays on
              by franin
Hi all I have a RB-1552 MkII and noticed with the 12v trigger on when not in standby the standby light stays on. Is that normal ? I have contacted Rotel Australia and I kid you not the guy there had no idea. He was meant to give me a call back once he found out ( that was 2 weeks ago ) but nothing....

Questions about power indicators/LEDs on 1068 and 1075
              by tennberg
              Hi everyone,

I have two questions about newly purchased 1068 and 1075 for my HT system.

              1. When I turn off the 1075 amp, the red LED turns off. Then, all 5 protection fault lights come on at the same time for a second, then shut down in unison. Is this normal? I could not...

              Zone 2 on a RSP-976
              by Jpag
Wanted to see if this was normal. Manual says that is Zone 2 is on the standby light would flash when the unit is powered down. However, I have a RMB-1095 with the 12v trigger. I have found that when the second zone is on, the unit will not power down the amp. This makes no sense to me, since the...

              RSP-1066 Firmware / Power problem!

              Hey All,

New to the forum and glad to find what looks like a very knowledgable community to bounce questions off of.

I have a brand new out of the box 1066 that had rev. 1.1.5-something and found that there was rev. 1.1.7. So I followed all of the instructions on Rotel's...
