    RSP 1066 tip

To all of the new 1066 owners out there: Make sure that once you have everything setup in the OSD, ie. labels, speaker levels, input sources, etc. go to the default area and save your settings. I found out the hard way Saturday night that if you don't do this and you lose power for some reason you also lose all of your settings  I've never had this problem with any of my receivers so I assumed the 1066 would retain my settings after a power failure.

    Mark,
Thanks for the tip. I haven't done that yet and yes, That would be a real pain in the a*& to start over again.

      Thats odd,

I didn't do that and ive lost power for several hour but not the setting of my 1066.

Guess I was lucky or something. I will save this config right now

      Thanks

I can top that. I did save my settings, lost power one day, and it reset my unit back to factory default settings! It wiped out the memory and I couldn't restore my settings.

I guess I better write all of my settings down just to be safe.

            Rotel 1066 delay settings?
            by rmassey
I'm helping out a friend with a 1066. I went to calibrate and set the speaker distances and noticed it only offers 5-15ms (I think) in the delays menu. Can someone explain how this works or equates to actual speaker distance. Is it just 1ft = 1ms or is there something else to it.

            Hi all

After doing a search and reading alot of threads on this forum, i fear i may have either learnt alot or confused myself more than ever.

            1066 Default Setting
            by Parrot Head
I need to ask what may be a dumb question about the 1066’s Default Setup. I’ve been adjusting the rear channel settings via the remote to approx. +7dB. I find this (although it may be a bit exaggerated) improves the surround experience when listening to basic cable.

            My problem...

Rotel 1066 BM and sub settings??
            by scottnv
I have a couple of questions for the group out there:

I notice the RSP-1066 seems to have two subwoofer settings - you can adjust the sub setting in the test tone screen and also you can adjust it in the subwoofer setting screen. Are these two screens interactive - if you adjust the sub...
