1066 Audio Question

Folks,

Have got my Denon dvd-2200 connected to the 1066. The 2200 has multichannel analog and digital outs going to the 1066.

Whenever I power up the dvd player, I lose the audio to my satellite connection through the 1066. What is happening at this point? When I had my old Sony dvd player, it was only a digital connection to the 1066, and I didn't lose audio when I powere up the dvd player.

Hi,

Check and see if you are using the same input for your satellite receiver and DVD player. I am assuming that you are using the analog output of your satellite receiver. If you have connected the satellite receiver to analog input 1 and DVD to digital input 1, the RSP-1066 will assign priority to the digital signal.

You can fix this by connecting the satellite receiver to analog input 2.

Simpler to go into the menu and change the input setting where the SAT is to ANALOG, or an unused digital input. Chances are you have both inputs set to the same DIGITAL INPUT.
