    Rotel 1066 delay settings?

I'm helping out a friend with a 1066. I went to calibrate and set the speaker distances and noticed it only offers 5-15ms (I think) in the delays menu. Can someone explain how this works or equates to actual speaker distance. Is it just 1ft = 1ms or is there something else to it.

Did Rotel wise up and change this to ft/meters in the 1068/69 menu?

Edit: I found the online pdf manual and can take it from here Pretty goofy way to implement speaker distance setting IMO.

Yes, the 1068+ has standard feet/meter settings for all channels.

Yeah, when I got my 1066 and was setting it up for the first time, I found the format for setting the delay for the rear surrounds to be rather counterintuitive. Glad to hear they simplified it.

If I have my CD player playing through the external multi-input on my RSP-1068, are the delay settings taken from the preamp or the CD player?

Rotel 1066 BM and sub settings??

I have a couple of questions for the group out there:

I notice the RSP-1066 seems to have two subwoofer settings - you can adjust the sub setting in the test tone screen and also you can adjust it in the subwoofer setting screen. Are these two screens interactive - if you adjust the sub...

I received my brand spanking new 1066 in silver yesterday and have spent a few hours setting up and calibrating the unit. My question is how do I find out the software version that's installed in this puppy? I searched here but couldn't locate the answer. This is a new unit that came to my dealer in...

        Howdy,

I am having a bit of trouble getting my lipsynch setting right. When using with SKY+ satelite box (optical output), I get the setting right for one show and then when I view another show its hopelessly out again. I am not sure if its the source or the processing required for the...

        1066 vs 1068 Initial Impression

Just got the RSP1068 in UK and took me not more than 1 hour to setup and plug it all in. Very easy to use and has substantial additional functionality over the 1066 that is practically usefull and they should be complimented on not just adding gimmicks all over the shop.

        The passage...
