connecting CD and Tuner to Pre-amp

Can I just plug the power cords from the rcd-1072 and RT-1080 into the two outlets on the back of the RC-1070 and run a 12v trigger line from the rc-1070 to the rb-1080? I am thinking of getting a line conditioner/surge protector to plug the pre-amp and amp into. Any other suggestions for hooking up?

I don't recall their configuration, but if the outlets on the 1070 are "switched", you won't need the 12 v trigger. They will be supplied power when the 1070 comes on, otherwise yes, the 12 v trigger will do the trick.

      Thanks,
The RC-1070 has two switched outlets on the back that will power up to 400watts, the Rt-1080 only uses 10 watts and the Rcd-1072 uses 20watts so this will work perfect.

      I will use a 12v trigger for the RB-1080.

        1068 Trigger Question
        by Bluespower
I got my new power amp for my second zone and attempted to use the "zone" trigger to power it on and off.

If I go into the set-up area for zone 2 and define the trigger as "zone" the zone 2 amp powers up (a good thing). When I turn off zone 2 (on the 1068) the zone...

Man, there sure seems to be some confusion on this topic, reading through history. Anyway, my situtation is unique and I'm looking for any suggestions on a solution. I recently came home with a brand new RSP-1068 to replace my aged Marantz AV600/DP870 combo. Stopped at Radio Shack on the ride home...

        12v trigger

I have a 1075 and an Onkyo receiver. I was using a 12v AC/DC adaptor in the switched outlets of the receiver to activate the 12v trigger in the 1075. For some odd reason the power cable failed (it was just a cheapy). I went and got a couple new universal AC/DC adaptors at Parts Express but when I got...

        12v trigger power strip
        by garak
I have some cooling fans that I'd like to turn on when I turn on my pre/pro.

Do any of you know of a power strip that can turn power to its outlets on by using a 12v trigger?

        Thanks in advance.
