I live in a condo and every now and then I get wierd power outages. Specifially, half of my apartment will lose power but the other half is fine (the circuit breakers are not tripped). Very odd indeed but I chalk it up to shaddy construction. Today, it happened again for only a second but this time my 1068 lost all of it settings. Should I be concerned about the 1068 lossing it settings? I have had no problems with the unit before. If the power had been out for a few hours I probably wouldnt be so concerned but I thought it would keep the settings for a least a little while.

The Rotel processors do not like quick power glitches. Sometimes during these the eeprom will get messed up and the unit will 'default'. Nothing to be concerned about as there's no damage, but you should get a small UPS (battery backup) to run the 1068. This should keep it going through the quick surges and help retain your settings.

The power at my house failed twice in about 30 seconds. The total outage was only 40 seconds or so. The first outage was only 5 seconds, then the power was on for about 15 seconds, then it went out for about 30 seconds. When...-

by arichesI've had my 1068 for about a month now. I leave the master power switch on the back on at all times. But several times when using the remote to switch from standby to ON the blue/violet light goes OFF and nothing else happens (the display stays blank) and repeatedly pressing the standby button on...-

by weaselHi. Don't come here often, but I know where the expertise is. I'm in the process of moving and obviously had to disconnect my system. My question is this: Does the RSP-1068 lose it's settings and configurations when removed from AC power for a period of time? I don't know how long it'll be before I'm...-

by abe1877Last night the power went out in my house for a split second. I have a 1067 and all of the settings were reset. According to the manual (and I've had power outages before and this didn't happen) it should not reset. It's an enormous pain getting everything back the way i like it.
