About to buy RC-1070 and RB-1080 in Florida

whats up, I am brand new here. I have been using this site to read and do research on home stero amps. And I am getting ready to take the plunge. I will be ordering the RB-1080 and RC-1070 next week. They will be hooked up to two Polk RTI-12s. And boy I can't wait. From all the reasearch that I have done I have only heard good things Rotel and very few negatives. I guess my power addication started when I was stationed in Korea. My room mate at the time had a Denon 2800 and I was amazed how much juice that thing had. This has been along time comming for me and like I said can't wait. Anyway I would just like to thank everyone here for all the information that has been listed, It has really helped me out. Also if anyone has a good RB-1090 for sale let me know. I would be willing to pay fair market value. Thanks :T

one more thing I forgot to add, Right now the dealer is quoting me 1600.00 out the door on theese two units. Anyone know of a cheaper place ? I live in FL.

yes..., but import duties, shipping...blah, blah, blah.....as you can guess....will discourage anyone to do something like this (+ we use the 220/Hz power supply).

          RB1080/RC1082 - I Need a Bit of Guidance
          by kitjv
I had the opportunity yesterday to audition a pair of Paradigm Studio 100s with the Rotel RC1070/RB1070 preamp & power amp combination. My ears were very pleased. However, I am curious about the audible difference that the Rotel RC1082/RB1080 would make with these same speakers. Or maybe going with...

          Rc1070 And Rb1080
          by gymguymass
I am in the process of ordering the RC1070 stereo preamp and RB1080 power amp, and am curious if anyone has any recommendations for interconnects and speaker cables. I currently own a pair of Mirage OM10 speakers. My music tastes run from rock (Metallica, Guns n Roses, Tool, etc) to female vocalists...

          RC1070 or RC995 matched w/ RB991
          by luszer
Interested if anyone has an RB1080 or 991 teamed up with either RC1070 or older pre-amp such as RC995. In doing research, a used RC955 costs about same as a new RC1070. Wait are the differences and sonic characters on either pre-amp? Any info greatly appreciated. Tyring to make a hard decision on investing...

          RC1070 no volume from remote??
          by gymguymass
I currently own the RC1070 preamp (along with the RB1080 amp) and have experienced an issue about 4-5 times in the last year that has me concerned. While attempting to operate the volume control, using the remote control, I get no response. Other functions, such as source selection, mute, and on/off,...

Adding Sub to RB1080 for stereo?
          by wireseeker
          Hi all

Just a quick question really. I have heard that some people put a sub onto a stereo system. Is this possible?

I have the RC1070 and RB1080 and and I want to know if one can put a sub on this system? If yes, will it work properly?
