I now have the funds to proceed with the purchase of either a 1055/1080 or a 1055/1075 combo. I do not expect to be able to add a second amp down the road and will be using this system for the next couple of years for 5.1 and stereo applications (about 50/50 HT & Stereo). I am interested in multichannel music and expect to add a universal DVD player within 2 years. My speakers are: B&W 805s up front, HTM2 center, and 601s for surrounds. I will be setting all speakers to small with a 60Hz crossover for music, probably an 80Hz crossover for HT but I plan to experiment with the crossovers somewhat. Is either combo a clear winner?

by Mike HayesThanks to all for your suggestions regarding choosing the right Rotel. I ended up going with a 1075 for now and hope to add either a 1066 or 1055 down the road. I thought that I had the funds for both the pre/pro and the amp, but I ended up having to choose one or the other. After looking very long...-

by justaboutnow8O I'm new to the site and glad I found it as I could use some help. I'm building a HT system but music is a primary concern as I listen to music 80% of the time and movies 20%. I was ready to buy the RSX 1065 until I heard it next to the 1066/1075. No comparison. I was going to spring for the separates...-
