    Thanks to all - Purchased a 1075

Thanks to all for your suggestions regarding choosing the right Rotel. I ended up going with a 1075 for now and hope to add either a 1066 or 1055 down the road. I thought that I had the funds for both the pre/pro and the amp, but I ended up having to choose one or the other. After looking very long and hard at my system, it seemed like the most glaring weakness was the lack of decent power for my N805s & HTM2. The Yamaha receiver that I am using is only 47x6 according to S&V. I auditioned both a 1055 and a 1066/1075 with N805s and felt that the bigger overall boost occured when the jump to separates was made. I know my Yamaha does not sound quite as good as a 1055 but for now, it should work until I can afford a 1055 or 1066 and I have made the first step towards separates.

Mike you made the right choice IMO. The price of quality amps tends to remain fairly constant but the pre pro market will always show a nice price drop for older units as they're replaced every year. Besides with the 1098 coming in a few weeks (end of june) there might be a flood of used 1066's on the market for a good price as people upgrade.

      1055/1080 or 1055/1075
      by Mike Hayes
I now have the funds to proceed with the purchase of either a 1055/1080 or a 1055/1075 combo. I do not expect to be able to add a second amp down the road and will be using this system for the next couple of years for 5.1 and stereo applications (about 50/50 HT & Stereo). I am interested in multichannel...

Stick to RSX1065 or go to 1055/1075 separates?
      by BleakShore
I guess I'd like to hear/learn advices/experiences from those who have gone this route.

That is, stick with the RSX1066, or exchange it for the RSX1055/RMB1075 combo? I bought it from Myer-Emco so I can do the exchange with no penalty.

      The reason I'm contemplating this...

Sound difference BTWN 1066 and 1075
      by jonnyz1245
think I will notice a sound difference going from RSX 1055 to a dedicated amp like the 1075 and then keeping the 1055 or getting a 1066.

I will be running Paradigm studio 40s/20s/Studio CC and Sub.

I am sort of rephrasing my previous question on the upgrade.

Any Way To Have 1055 Internal Amps Power Second Zone?
      by gostan
Two days with mynew rsx-1055 and I have several questions. I do need a second amp to power my zone 2. I would like more power on the main channels. Since I have to purchase a second amp for zone 2 and since I got such a great deal on the 1055 (3 months old - traded to my dealer) I was wondering why...

      RMB 1075/RMB 1066 Future Plans

I would like to get some thoughts on the change over of my system. I purchased a RB 1070 about a month ago, and I am looking to switch over to separates in the next couple months. My current system is:

      Denon 3802 (will be upgarded)
      RB 1070 powering the fronts
      Toshiba SD...
