    Reseting RDV-1060

    Hi,

First of all I should say that I really like my 1068/1075 combo, but my DVD RDV-1060 countinues to be a pain in the ...

I by mistake pushed the my remote RR1050 the progesive scan button for the DVD while having a copy-protected CD in. The CD have worked before, but when the progressive scan signal went on I couldn't do anything! The machine went down and now I can't do anything!

So if anyone could play pink (missunderstood) and press the progressive scan button to see if they have the same problem

Anyway is there a way of reseting my RDV-1060? Since nothing happens when I start the machine, I cannot even eject the CD, I cannot reset it as supposed to according the manual, I cannot turn progressive scan off.

    Best Regards Dave

    Solution to my own problem

One might wonder why I write the solution to a problem that only concerns oneself, well if it happens to anyone else so here it's to find.

I restarted the DVD-player and switch the NTSC/PAL-button to PAL, then restarted it again but on NTSC and viola the DVD player worked!

Dave --- now I can finally see my rental-DVD, sunday saved...

      progressive on RDV1060
      by sirbogey
My RDV1060 came back from Rotel with an exchanged tray. When I put in a DVD or CD, it takes like 10 secs for the disc to load. This was a matter of 2-3 secs before. What have they done to it?

Another question: I changed the picture to watch a movie in progressive mode. When I do that,...

1068: Problem switching between progressive inputs
      by McLovin
      G'day,

I am having an issue with my RSP-1068 and progressive scan inputs.

I have three video input devices hooked up to the 1068: a set-top box, a DVD player, and an Xbox (on V1, V2, and V3 inputs respectively). The 1068 is then connected to my TV (a Sony LCD). All inputs...

      by iculookn
      Hi All

I can not get my 1050 to output progressive.

I push and hold the PROG/VFP for a few seconds, but nothing.

The progressive light does not come on.

Plus my 1098 TFT screen does not show the movie playing at all

      Any tips...

      Connectingproblem RSP1098 and RDV1060
      by Marcel54
I bought a new DLP TV so I connected my 1060 with component directly to my HD TV set (previously I used SCART). My 1060 is connected to the 1098 with composite for use of the TFT screen. Here's the problem: when I set my 1060 to progressive scan my TFT screen goes haywire (all I see is horizontal disturbance)....

      Progressive Scan DVD Player
      by junior77blue
So, if my hitachi TV upcoverts all my signals into 1080i, what's the purpose of having a progressive scan DVD player?

Wouldn't it make more sense to 'feed' the TV with a raw signal as opposed to feeding it the progressive scan signal, and then having the TV upsample that once again....
