    Connectingproblem RSP1098 and RDV1060

I bought a new DLP TV so I connected my 1060 with component directly to my HD TV set (previously I used SCART). My 1060 is connected to the 1098 with composite for use of the TFT screen. Here's the problem: when I set my 1060 to progressive scan my TFT screen goes haywire (all I see is horizontal disturbance). Is there a way to solve this, other than connecting the 1060 to the 1098 with component and the TV with component to the 1098. I don't want to do that because of the expected loss of picture quality.

Thanks in advance for the input.

    Ok, here's a few things.

The problem I would think lies in the RDV-1060 and being able to produce a composite picture when the unit is set to a progressive signal. That's why the TFT is going nuts like that.

If you hook up the components to the 1098 and then to the DLP, it will not do anything for the TFT because it can only display composite (not component) signals.

Another thing is there should be no quality loss routing the signal through the 1098 as it has a high enough bandwidth to push HDTV signals through it. So anything your RDV-1060 would send should have no noticeable difference.

Rotel 1060 Video connection with 1098/Plasma.
      by >>Angel<<
      Dear Rotel enthousiasts,

Yesterday I bought a Pioneer plasma screen to complete my Rotel setup
After concluding all the (required) connections I found out that there's a problem displaying (progressive or not) an 1060 image on the Plasma screen.
      I really hope...

I have my configuration since October last year and from the start I have a problem with my RDV1060 and RSP1098 that if correct all users of the SCART connection should have. If the RDV1060 is connected to my TV through the SCART connection and the DVD-player is set on SCART then the TFT on the 1098...

      RVE-1060 Setup
      by dmcgowan
Looking at the RVE-1060 manual online, I'm not sure if you end up with only four video inputs if you link it to the 1098 or 1068? Is it mandatory to use Input 4 to pass through the 1098 OSD or can you just hook it up and rely only on th TFT on the 1098? Just realised I need 5 inputs (PS3, Cable, PC,...

      RSP1098 TFT display activation.
      by >>Angel<<
      Hi,

I recently bought the RSP1098 (next to the RMB1075) in combination with the RDV1060, what a nice combination this is . However I do have some issues/questions:

      - How can I enable color on the TFT display when DVD video is passed (via composite video) to the 1098?...
