Help! If you had 2500$-2800$ for Rotel kit... which would you buy? Why?

First time poster, but not new to site nor to Rotel.

Currently have two Rotel / B&W setups.
A) RA-1060 Integrated Amp sourced by RCD-1070 CD Player and driven to B&W 600 series speakers.

B) RSX-1058 Surround Receiver sourced by a Pioneer CD/DVD/SACD player plus typical Uverse, Apple TV gear with output to a 5.1 B&W 600 series setup plus widescreen TV.

Due to massive lightning storm need to replace the RSX-1058. Here's the conundrum:
1. Have 2500-2800$ to spend
2. Want great sound for music and video
3. RSX-1058 no longer available

As additional insight, I much prefer the warm sound of the A setup above (smaller room) over sound of B setup (larger family room used mostly for TV).

Which Rotel kit would you recommend to meet those needs when replacing RSX-1058? Here are two ideas that I have, but welcome other thoughts.

> RA-1592 stereo integrated amplifier driving audio and the video inputs connected directly to TV

or

> RSX-1562 multi channel receiver driving / processing all sources.

Which would you recommend? Why? Or have an alternative to suggest?

My preference is a pre-processor/preamp to handle all my inputs, making programming my universal remote simpler. I bought a used Marantz AR-8100 and love it feeding into my RMB-1585 and RMB-1590.

Slightly beyond your budget perhaps ... But a RSP1572 and a s/h RMB1075 would be my suggestion.

If I were you I'd look for a used 1055, 1056, 1057 or 1058 on eBay.. They will all sound the same and go for only a few hundred bucks used.. You could then use the extra money you save to buy better speakers, like the CM8's

Which B&W 600's do you have in 5.1?

You could get a used RMB-1095 (200w x 5), and either an RSP-1066, or RSP-1098 (I've found these used inexpensive) (although with this one the screen is broke, but I think the screen on it is redundant anyway)

The RMB-1095 is the biggest/best 5 channel amp Rotel made in the 10 series, and the RSP-1098 was the best surround processor coming from the 10 series. These two would come in below your budget

Just following up to say I replaced it with a new RA-1592. Love the musicality of that integrated amp and recommend it to those in the market.
