Anybody ever upgrade a RSP-1068 to HDMI?

You can't upgrade an RSP-1068 to HDMI. There was an HDMI pass through upgrade you could get for the RSP-1098. Is that what you meant?

Its called selling it and buying either the RSP-1069 (if it needs to look the same) or RSP-1570) if your thinking Rotel.

        Thanks

Thanks for the comments. I've begun researching the 1069 and the 1570. When purchasing from a retailer, are these normally discounted? Also, any references regarding Rotel dealers in Alberta. Thanks.

I ended up buying a new RSP-1069 to replace my RSP-1068 around the time the current RSP-1570 came out. Ended up buying the RSP-1069 for around 40% off and after I sold the RSP-1068 I didn't pay much at all to upgrade.

I don't think you would find any new RSP-1069 available anymore though.

Rotel 1098 HDMI upgrade completed with picture
                by Azeke
                Good afternoon everyone,

I had to send my RSP-1098 to Rotel for a recurring LCD display issue. It seems that the relays were upgraded from 2A to 5A as well as some other minor circuit modifications. While it was there I requested a HDMI component upgrade, which they graciously honored,...

                rsp1570 volume query
                by carlsen
Just received my new rsp1570. After two hours trying to get the OSD to come up on my pioneer plasma ( only after defaulting the remote ) I managed to hook up my rotel rotel cd player, rotel dvd player rdv1045, and my pioneer blu-ray.

I havent had much time to tinker but the bluray audio...

                RSP1570 or Arcam AV888?
                by Stevebez
OK perhaps not entirely fair comparison... but curious if anyone else made this jump...

Is the Arcam HDMI 1.3a / 1.4 compatible or upgradable.

Anyone comapre the AV888 and the Classe SSP800? ...

Seems the AV888 is neatly positioned between the two units....

Is the better choice the RSP1068 or RSX1056 for pre-amp duty?

I will add the RMB1066 (in bi-amp mode) or the RMB1075.

                by alkaline6
                Hi guys,

I am attempting to perform the software upgrade. I have done the following (as per the Rotel instructions):
                - turn OFF RSP1068
                - set dip switches to ON
                - connect cable between laptop and RSP1068
                - setup a HyperTerminal RSP1068 connection
                ...
