Just received my new rsp1570. After two hours trying to get the OSD to come up on my pioneer plasma ( only after defaulting the remote ) I managed to hook up my rotel rotel cd player, rotel dvd player rdv1045, and my pioneer blu-ray.
I havent had much time to tinker but the bluray audio comes out nice and loud ( hdmi connection all through ) but the dvd volume ( connection to processor via component and optical and then thru hdmi onwards ) came out very soft, so much so that even with the rsp1570 at max volume it was only at decent volume.
Do I have to go into some menu block and set a volume setting for each attached unit somewhere? As said I didnt get much time to play as the hard unit would not respond to the remote at all or show the OSD for hours until I defaulted the remote.
I did not see anything in the manual about setting individual volume settings but then it appears the system and the manual rely on the OSD to convey any action and info
