    RB-991 Amp?

    Hello All,

I'm currently using a RB-985mkii 5 channel amp with a RSP-1068 processor. If I add this RB-991 to the main speakers, would this help or hurt? Paradigm Ref. Studio 100's V2 are my main speakers. I'll use the 985 for 3 channels only.

As an aficionado of the 9 series amps, I have to say, get the 991. I am sure you will find an improvement in detail, speed, transient response and LF crispness. Plus, all your amps will be of the same family which will preserve coherence and character when in multi-channel mode. JMHO.

          by Belgarath99
          Hi

I have heard that this is the best forum to talk Rotel.

I am thinking of buying an used Rotel RB991 to add to my HT setup. I will use the pre-out of my Denon AVR 3805 to connect to the power amp to drive my Dynaudio Audience 82 speakers.

          I have heard comments...

          rsx1067 vs rsp1068/rb993/rb985mkII
          by JRambo
Hi, I recently read in a home-theater magazine that the Rotel rsx1067 was their first choice in the heavy-receiver class.. How will this receiver compare to a setup with rsp1068, rb993 and rb985mkII, when it comes to sound quality, as the price for these two setups will be about the same..

          Klipsch RF3 & Rotel RB991

          Dear Freinds,

What's your opinion on Klipsch RF3 & Rotel RB991 power + RC1070 pre. Source as NAD 541i. I found the sound from above combo is bright & loud & not very balanced. My feeling is RB991 may be too much power (200rms/ch) for RF3s, since it's a high efficiency speaker...

So far :my amp was originally driving 4 ohm sub in an enclosed space, fuses would blow on a regular basis, Lots of blame went...
