Guess we will all know where ya live after the report of the sonic boom in the weekend news. Maybe you should alert NASA in case they think Melbournes launching a nuclear weapon

Have fun ditching the anchor and givin it some blow.

Ah the Iron one, all ways reckoned if I could find a maiden who got off on that type of sound, I’d marry her Had a mate who actually did and he just smiles every day, soul mate stuff he reckons.

Powerslave at full tit, that’ll rattle more than your bones. Hope your neighbours insurance policies include glass replacement

Lets just say the neighbours won’t be getting any “Piece of Mind” as this “Man on the Edge” lets loose the “Best of the Beast” with results beyond “His Wildest Dreams”. Heres hoping the neighbours are not “Killers” otherwise he will be “ A Real Dead One” and then they’ll definitely be seeing “Women in Uniform”

Tell me there's a better opening 10 seconds to a song than "2 Minutes to Midnight"???

Tomorrow will be proper try out day.

I dunno, to be honest they wrote some pretty political/dark lyrics that woulda never sold if the metal was not so damn hot.

2 minutes to midnights not short of some ugly graphics, but as you say the opening is in your face

youre really pushin your luck with the neighbours givin it a blast on a sunday. their eggs will be fair leaping off their plates

I gotta say, all this talk about Iron Maiden is starting to sound like "A Matter Of Life And Death", though I know this whole thread was about searching out a "Brave New World". Still, as I said before, (or is it "Deja-Vu?") if your neighbor doesn't "Run To The Hills", he might start to think, "Can I Play With Madness?" with all that noise coming from your house.

Wow, all this talk about this dark music has me thinking about "The Number Of The Beast"...

Okay, I better quit now, huh?

Have fun with your "proper try out day"!! :W

                        Hay Ted,

Looks like dmcgown is "losfer words" Maybe the neighbours have had him nailed to a power pole as "Public Enema Number One"
or perhaps his treasurer has wised up to "The Evil That Men Do" and taken control of the remote too

Sure as hell hope the system has not suffered "Communication Breakdown",
                        that would be a bummer.

Come on dmcgowan come "Out Of The Shadows" and give us your opinion of proper try out "Judgement day"

Heh heh you guys gotta get out more...

Anyway sound is as initially reported - brilliant. Got part way through adjusting levels etc but clearly this is a long term project to nail it all. Real problem right now is finding enough time to make the connections / switching work seamlessly. Not entirely repeatable using the front panel - although most likely operator error. I can see I want to get one of the first RVE-1060s in the country though...

Gee, I wish I had the "problem" of having to figure out all the switching!!

I'm glad to hear you are happy with the sound. I hope to replace my Yamaha receiver with a 1057 soon and down the road replace that with whatever replaces the 1068 and a 1075 or 1077. Have fun!! :T

Definitely not complaining. We've gone from RSX-965 to RSX-1055 to 1098/1077 over past 9 years and it's a great problem to have.

I just heard the Denon 4306 Reciever at a showroom and was surprised by the improvements the MultiEQxt brings to the SQ. It was just more coherent with amazing mids and for HT, the seamless pans and improvement in dialog and seperation in sound was fantastic. I could not convince...
