    RMB 1075 @ 4ohms

Hi all, I am planning to change my speakers to Sonus Faber Domus GP series. Do you think if the 1075 can handle the speakers. The SF dips to ~3.5ohms lowest base on Sterophile 's measurement. Thanks.

Shouldn't have a problem running them, plus you'll be getting plenty of power out of it at 4ohm.

Thank you the reply. Just wondering if anyone uses this amp to drive 4ohms load and if there are any issues.

If Rotel puts out a higher powered ICE amp, I would jump ship immediately. Anyone knows if this ever gonna come?

My 1075 powers my Linn Ninka speakers, which are 4 ohm speakers. I've never had an issue. I seldom play music really loud, but when I do, I detect no sense of congealing.

As a point of reference, I have used a Rotel receiver to drive 4 ohm speakers with similar dips to the mid 3's. It handled the load well. I'm sure if the receiver can handle this, the more robust 1075 will have no problem at all. Rotel tends to use good power supplies in most all of their products.

                Hello everyone,

I am planning to upgrade my current system (5.1, see signature below for full details) to a 7.1 system with a pair of MonitorAudio GS60.

I have to admit that this new system will be the heart of a brand new HC + Stereo system in my new house (in construction...

I would like to get some thoughts on the change over of my system. I purchased a RB 1070 about a month ago, and I am looking to switch over to separates in the next couple months. My current system is:

                Denon 3802 (will be upgarded)
                RB 1070 powering the fronts
                Toshiba SD...

Rotel RMB 1075 Protection light not working

                Hi,
I was wondering whether someone has experienced anything like this. Just a few weeks ago, after watching a movie. I turned off my amplifier RMB 1075 and heard a loud pop. I cannot really tell if it came from the amp or speaker, but one thing I noticed though was that the protection light...

                Could this work: RMB-1075 + RMB-1092?

I'm planning a 2006 upgrade and am wondering if using two different spec power amplifiers could provide a workable solution.

                Presently I have an RMB-1075 driving 2 B&W Nautilus 804's (fronts), 2 B&W CM2's (surrounds) and 1 B&W CMC centre speaker.

                My plan, for...
