    RMB-1075 or RMB-1095 for Dynaudio Audience 72SE

Hello guys it's me again asking for your help on this...well, not sure which one should I get... my speaker is Audience 72SE = 4ohms; 230W (long term power handling)...now I did some research on the amps on 1075 has 120w x 5 (8 ohms); 200w x 5 (4 ohms); on 1095 has 200w x 5 (8 ohms); 330w x 5 (4 ohms). I'm kinda leaning to get the 1075($1000) which has 200w x 5 in 4 ohms but is it good idea or make sense to get 1075 instead of 1095 ($2000)?

I want to get something that can be worth in the long run, let say it will last for several years before I decided to upgrade again.

Thanks for your help and reply on this!

    Marantz SR8500; RMB-1075 Silver
    Dynaudio Audience 72SE; Audience 122C; Audience 42 & B&W ASW 600
    Samsung DV841; Samsung DLP 50"

If you can afford the 1095, get it now.

You will not be upgrading your amp for a loooooong time if you do.

BTW, I assume your mostly HT and not so much 2-ch music?

Reguardless, your speakers seem to like power with the 4 ohm load spec.
I would think they may sound slightly better with the bigger amp.
    Just a novice's HO.

No. I don't think you will have any problems. None at all.

Many HT guys here think equal power to all channels is best for HT. And that makes sense to me.

If you spent a lot of time listening to 2-ch music, then I might have recomended two amps, something in the 3-ch 200 watt minimum range for your fronts, and something a little less powerful in a 2-ch for your rears as means of reducing costs while still maintaining decent SQ.

But If you get the 1095, I think you will be very happy. I would make sure your dealer will let you return it a week or two, just in case your not happy with the sound.

Now, if I could just get my wife and kids to be so accepting of my advice?!?!?

        Good luck!

          wkhanna,

You know what I didnt go to the store 'coz they dont have on stock on the 1095's....waaaahhh!!!!
Maybe next week they will have it.

Yup, I did ask them if it's ok to return it just in case it didnt go well with my setup, but I think there would be no problem on this 'coz luckily they have Dyn's so I did test it with the 1095's and it goes well with it. The high's, mids & lows are well defined and the soundstage is big and I did feel the difference with or without amps. Oh man, I cant wait to have one...by the way for the sake of it I did test the 1075 with Dyns and it goes well but comparing with the 1095...hmmmm... oh man 1095 is much better....like the other's said "more power is good" now I agree with that!!! hehehe

I'm pretty sure you will with your family...hehehe

          Thanks again for your help!!!

          Cheers!!!

                wkhanna,

excuse me... sorry for disturbing you but I want to know what kind of interconnect should I get for this? I just heard Cobalt Cable is good from HTG website which I already check on there price is pretty decent, but maybe you know other cable that I might consider check on it. Some say's MOnster Cable & Audio Quest .... too many choices anyway, thanks for your help on this again.

Some people often say that I’m disturbed, but you will never disturb me!!!!

IMHO, I would avoid M* brand; over priced for minimum performance, and I am speaking from experience and $ wasted in the past.

I have been upgrading my cables a few at a time lately, and have been getting them from Doug at 'CAT Cables'.

Go here for more info and to contact him.Cat Cable Forum

You can shop around after you get a price from Doug, but I highly doubt you will find anything near the quality at twice the price.

I would recommend SilverCats for your amp< >pre-amp/prepro connection.

If you get these and don't think they are the best ever for the price, tell Doug I want the first chance at them if you even think of returning the cables.
