    Panamax 5300ex vs. Rotel RLC-1040?

Okay I need a new line conditioner and I already have a Panamax in the living room. I have been thinking about moving the Panamax to the bedroom and buying the Rotel for the living room. I see the advantage of the Rotel is that it does Voltage Regulating. Am I correct on saying this?

Which would be a better choice?

Just double-checked and per my other post, yes the 1040 does real time voltage regulation.

Panamax has been doing it for a very long time. There very good at it. Rotel just got into the game but that doesn't mean there not good at it.

The 2 units you want to use, post the spec's and I bet we can help. Rotel makes very nice everything and I can't see going wrong with them, same with Panamax.

I own the Panamax M5500ex and I love it.

If I am not mistaken the Rotel is basically a APC 15 that has Rotel Skin

Well I realize Panamax is good however APCC isn't anything to cough at either. I have a hard time believing that Panamax is far superior to APCC when it comes to line conditioning, voltage regulation etc. Maybe I'm wrong.

I doubt there is any measurable difference in the choices mentioned here. Get the least expensive one or the Rotel if you need the cosmetic continuity.

Panamax and APC/Rotel are both good units but I'll always recommend APC products from the good history I've had with their computer and HT products :T As a bonus the APC/Rotel does the voltage regulation you mentioned as well.

Well quite honestly I think they were just trying to sell me a Panamax and a Richard Grey.

I'm going to buy a Rotel when I get back off of my business trip.

Richard Grey does make nice gear but to get the same features albiet at an equal or higher quality, you'll have to spend a LOT more money on seperate components.

Okay I hate the fact that I have to buy Rotel from a Rotel dealer in my area. Here's the prime example of why.

                    Research
I went into a Home Theater Store to discuss replacing my Pioneer Elite 55TXi and my Integra Research DTR-7.1 Receivers. I spoke to a salesman about the Rotel...

                    by MikeHe
I have just had the opportunity to join the elite rotel club. I have purchased a Rotel 1095. It is to be used to drive 2 ML Vantage, a Matrix 805 as center channel, and 2 B&W matrix 804 as surrounds. I use an ONKYO 705 as a preamp. The receiver also has a velodyne subwoofer attached. A panamax 5300...

does the RLC1040 have input and output for ethernet cable?
                    by BlazeMaster
I looked at the specs on both the RLC1040/1080 and the pictures shows that the RLC1040 has conditioned in/outlet for either phone line or ethernet line. I'm more interested in the conditioning for the ethernet cable, but the specs state that only the RLC1080 has the ability to condition ethernet cables....

I just picked up RLC1040 this past weekend and got it all hooked up Saturday morning. I have 50" Pioneer plasma, Rotel RSX1057, Rotel RDV1050 and an old VCR. I'm not expecting any improvement in sound or PQ, but just looking for the peace of mind. Not that I've had any power issues but since...

I have Rotel RLC 1040 power conditioner hooked up to a plasma TV and HT sound system. Over the weekend, while TV was on, I accidently overloaded the circuit using some power tools. After I reset the circuit, I noticed the TV was resetting its system which makes me to think that the TV was shut down...
