    Rotel RLC 1040 question

I have Rotel RLC 1040 power conditioner hooked up to a plasma TV and HT sound system. Over the weekend, while TV was on, I accidently overloaded the circuit using some power tools. After I reset the circuit, I noticed the TV was resetting its system which makes me to think that the TV was shut down improperly. Shouldn't RLC1040 prevent TV from this? Is my RLC1040 working properly?

If the RLC-1040 was shut off it won't do anything other than protect your components from surges when it powers up again. It's a very good line conditioner and surge protector put it won't keep your components from shutting off improperly. The RLC-1080, since it's a UPS, would keep things powered up so you can shut them off properly but not the RLC-1040.
