    Rotel RLC 1040 question

I have Rotel RLC 1040 power conditioner hooked up to a plasma TV and HT sound system. Over the weekend, while TV was on, I accidently overloaded the circuit using some power tools. After I reset the circuit, I noticed the TV was resetting its system which makes me to think that the TV was shut down improperly. Shouldn't RLC1040 prevent TV from this? Is my RLC1040 working properly?

If the RLC-1040 was shut off it won't do anything other than protect your components from surges when it powers up again. It's a very good line conditioner and surge protector put it won't keep your components from shutting off improperly. The RLC-1080, since it's a UPS, would keep things powered up so you can shut them off properly but not the RLC-1040.

So the other day (tues) I was in the basement staining the floor boards and listening to some tunes as I worked. A late afternoon storm quickly passed through the area. Rained perhaps about 10 mins but it came down hard and there was thunder and lightening.

      The lights flickered on...

So today the mrs & kids were out of the house and I had some time to really crank my system for maybe the 3rd time since I've set it up. So I am "testing" it out to see how really loud it can go. The other couple of times I've only hit maybe 75 on the 1068 volume.

I just finished hooking up everything to the new RLC-1040 conditioner. The first RLC-1040 i had was Faulty so got it replaced by another one which works perfect so far.

I listened to some music today from my RDV-1040 and it sounded more clear than ever when hooked up to the RLC-1040....

I picked up my RLC-1040 on Wednesday, plugged in all my equipment to the unit. When I got everything working, first thing I did was put on a record. I'm playing through the RQ-970, and I verified that the switch is set to MM. Before the RLC-1040, I would listen to vinyl at a volume level of around...

Hi there. Is there any point in buying better power cords for either 1) wall outlet to RLC-1040, and 2)RLC-1040 to any of my rotel gear? (1040 to 1072/1082/1080)

      Thank you.
