Help with connecting up my new Rotel / Denon system?

I am in the middle of setting up my Rotel 1068, 1075 combo, but am not receiving any sound. I have my projector hokoked up through component to my projector and my Denon 1920. I have hooked up the audio through RCA leads on the front 2 channels on the 1920 into the 1068, audio input 2. The lights on the 1075 R and L speakers are not lighting up. Why am I not getting audio?

do you have RCA jacks going from your 1068 to your 1075?
is the power switch in front of the 1075 on?
also, the 12v trigger at the back should be off I think.

I would think you would want a digital connection between your Denon and 1068 ... either optical or coaxial (if you have more than 2 speakers)

      Philo,

Nice equipment - it will sound great when you get it going properly

I agree with Mike C's comments. Please also read Rotel's own helpful guide http://www.rotel.com/support/help-co...-equipment.htm as it is Rotel's own easy to use guide to set-up... From your post I suspect you need to read this several times and then post some quesitons...

also, I don't think the R and L lights should light up, only the power light should be on. if they light up, they must be in protect mode - you don't want that.

:B though it would have been nice if they lit up too

Perhaps you can hook up the CD out to the 1068's 5.1 analog L/R in and put the 1068 on multichannel. That way you're sure that it's not a setting in the 1068 that's causing the mute.
