some letters darker than others on receiver?

    Quick question (Rotel 1065 Receiver):

I pressed mute and the letter "e" on "mute" was about 10 shades darker than the other letters. I decided to check everything and started changing modes to Video 1, Video 2, CD, etc. and noticed that any letters (digital dots) that have not been displayed recently are extremely dark. However, when I leave it there for about 3 minutes, it brightens up to normal and matches the other letters.

Has anyone ever seen this happen and how do I fix it?

    Thanks!

never seen that before on any of my gear but it sounds like the power supply to the display isn't functioning as well as it should be...just a guess though. If its still under warrenty (which I think it would have to be as the 1065 isnt' 5 years old) you might want to think about having it looked at...esp if it starts to get worse before the 5 year warrenty period is up.

      Sammy,
it is the case with my 1065...it doesn't affect anything, so it might be the characteristics of the led. If you decide to call Equity, let me know what they say. Thanks,

        1065 Problems
        by renzo
After purchasing the 1065 last January I started to hear rackling from the front left part of the 1065 when I manually turned the power on after it had been off for a day or so. I did not hear the crackling when I used the remote to turn the power on. Also...certin letters on the display were beginning...

Mute button down, no version number on 1065???
        by ejfiii
Okay, this could be the most annoying thing ever (well besides my IR system not working). My second 1065 in a month and no matter how long I hold down the mute button, I get no display of the firmware version number. Both of them have done this. The remote and mute button work fine, I push it and it...

How can Power Failure cause 1065 to lose all settings?
        by ejfiii
How in the world can this happen. I leave for work at about 7:30 am and leave the plasma and 1065 on so my wife can watch tv during the day. Long story, but I havent got the ir system working yet, so I cant teach her to turn everything on and off yet.

So anyway, I come home from work...

Some Mute and Volume questions about the RSX-1055
        by lhl12
        1) Is there a way to set the unit so that after pressing Mute, it will un-Mute on either a Vol + or Vol - command? From doing a search I see that the 1065's firmware has been updated to allow this. What about the 1055?

        2) Can the Mute status be queried via RS-232?

        3) Can...
