    1065 Problems

After purchasing the 1065 last January I started to hear rackling from the front left part of the 1065 when I manually turned the power on after it had been off for a day or so. I did not hear the crackling when I used the remote to turn the power on. Also...certin letters on the display were beginning to fade (e.g. Mute, Dolby Digital Ex, etc...). I asked the dealer if they knew what was wrong. Although they were aware of the display problems on this model, they could not identify the crackling. I sent it to Rotel who replaced the display and said they fixed the problem, however Rotel could not identify the crackling problem. Does anyone have an idea what would cause the crackling? I am concend and disappointed these problems occured after only 2 months of use. To top it off the dealer didn't have a loaner for me to use during the past 2 weeks. Has anyone experienced these problems? Your thoughts and comments are appreciated. Arghhh!!!

It sounds like a dirty, or defective power switch. Based on your description.

The easiest way to find something lost around the house, is to buy a replacement.

As long as people will accept crap, it will be financially profitable to dispense it.
