    Serial Number Question

Ok. I cannot get to the back of my amps but I need to know the serial numbers.
I can get to the boxes and I assume they have the serial numbers on them.
On each box there are 2 bar coded numbers - top one quite long with alphas bottom one not so long and lacking alphas.
Can somone tell me please which number on the box is the serial number?
    Thanks

      Ahh, yes....
Thanks for the help but I am an old man and the crawling, squatting and twisting involved in implementing your suggestion would leave me in bed and in pain for several days. I can do without that. :B

All of my Rotel pieces have a 10 digit (3-7) number only serial number.

        Hope that helps,

The serial number is part of the longer number on the upper bar code of the box. There are a couple of extra numbers at the beginning and at the end. I suspect that if you use the whole number whoever needs to know can pull out the number from there Steve

            Got it!
            Thanks very much.
It is embedded in the Alphanumeric number on the box.

Yes the serial number is in the long number on the box. If you need the number for some reason just right that entire number down and it should be fine.

                Help With Serial Numbers
                by Jody
I was hoping somenbody here might be able to interpret the following serial number for a RSP-1066.

                FR019713081118239A

As the new 1068 is soon to arrive I can get a pretty decent deal on a 1066 demo that the store here in town has.

                I was wondering based on...

                B&W serial numbers
                by audiojunky
I recently got a brand new B&W 804s and noticed that that serial numbers at the back were something like 0003xx7 and 0003xx8

Does that mean that that only around 4000 odd B&W 804s speakers (or 2000 pairs) have been built all over the world till date?

                That seems...

                B&W 703 missing serial numbers
                by Mark_89
I've recently purchased a nice pair of second-hand B&W 703 speakers in rosenut as a replacement for my black 703s. Now I was installing the new 703s and noticed something very weird: the stickers on the terminal tray for the new speakers have a very odd arrangement and are both missing the serial...

                Rotel model numbers
                by JonJeffman
                Hi there,
I'm looking at upgrading my 2-ch stereo system and have heard nothing but good things about Rotel. I'm leaning towards used equipment as it fits my budget but have a few questions about the various model numbers I see floating about, but can't find too much info on them. If you can...

                Hello everybody:

I am planning to purchase a Rotel RSX 1055 receiver soon. I am aware that there have been several issues with it, popping, base management etc, etc.

I was wondering whether I should look out for one which is manufactured after a certain manufactring date...
