    Bugs free Rotel RSX 1055, manufacturing date or serial number

    Hello everybody:

    I am planning to purchase a Rotel RSX 1055 receiver soon. I am aware that there have been several issues with it, popping, base management etc, etc.

    I was wondering whether I should look out for one which is manufactured after a certain manufactring date which could perhaps by determined by reference to its serial number. Your views or suggestions would be much appreciated.

      My RSX 1055 is only responding to IR intermittently.

      I use direct IR from a pronto, passive IR through powermids and Xantech emitters which are controlled through a Smarthome serial IR device through my PC. Everything has worked flawlessly for two years+....
