I'm having an issue with my 1068's processing of analog inputs. My current satellite receiver only offers an analog audio output. Lately, I'm only receiving a signal through my front left channel when processing the satellite input. My optical connections work fine. Yesterday when I turned on the system and used the satellite input I received output from the left channel-- I switched to my DVD (optical input) for a few minutes and recieved output from all 5 speakers. I switched to the satellite and I received output from all 5 channels. I thought it might be the satellite receiver but I checked my VCR and noticed the same problem. It seems the processor is failing when converting the analog inputs. Any ideas?

As mark suggests, only a step further, you can just swap right for left into you're 1068 and that will tell you if its internal or external, or from there down stream.- Bottom

Yeah, I've tried those options. Today I turned the unit on and the satellite input broadcast over all 5 channels. I switched to the optical input and then switched back to my analog input and I only received output from my front left channel.- Bottom

by PSUfanAlright, this topic seems to be discussed too often but the upgrade bug is upon me.....I have the pioneer elite 23fd blu-ray connected to my 1068 via analog. In this situation the pioneer handles all the decoding and my 1068 is set to multi-input making it a large volume knob. The sound is excellent...-

by fvoellingHi,
I've been running a 1056 with a 7.1 speaker setup for a couple of years now, and started watching Blu-Ray movies from a PS3 80GB model last year. The PS3 is connected to the 1056 with digital coax and component.
Since my current setup is limited to 5.1 and 6.1, both...-

My question is, when I set record and zone outs to Video1, I get...-

by hired goonG'day,
I'm trying to record the output of my set-top box to my VCR, but I'm not getting any sound. I get the video, but not the audio.
The audio output of the set-top box is connected to the RSP-1068 using an optical cable. The VCR gets audio via analog output from the...-

by malckyI have been experimenting with music channels on sky satalite to see if the optical out was better than the analog in stereo (optical ) or bypass (analog) on the 1068.
On my old processor i was using the optical out only for everything thinking it would be better, Boy was i wrong....-
