    1068 processing problem

I'm having an issue with my 1068's processing of analog inputs. My current satellite receiver only offers an analog audio output. Lately, I'm only receiving a signal through my front left channel when processing the satellite input. My optical connections work fine. Yesterday when I turned on the system and used the satellite input I received output from the left channel-- I switched to my DVD (optical input) for a few minutes and recieved output from all 5 speakers. I switched to the satellite and I received output from all 5 channels. I thought it might be the satellite receiver but I checked my VCR and noticed the same problem. It seems the processor is failing when converting the analog inputs. Any ideas?

Time to start investigating: swap audio cable from satellite to 1068, switch to different set of analog inputs on the 1068 if swapping cables doesn't do anything. Just a start.

As mark suggests, only a step further, you can just swap right for left into you're 1068 and that will tell you if its internal or external, or from there down stream.

Yeah, I've tried those options. Today I turned the unit on and the satellite input broadcast over all 5 channels. I switched to the optical input and then switched back to my analog input and I only received output from my front left channel.

          So it is the 1068?

It appears to be the 1068 that's having the problem. Today, without switching inputs, the signal started with the left channel and then eventually broadcast to all 5 channels.

              1068 via analog
              by PSUfan
Alright, this topic seems to be discussed too often but the upgrade bug is upon me.....I have the pioneer elite 23fd blu-ray connected to my 1068 via analog. In this situation the pioneer handles all the decoding and my 1068 is set to multi-input making it a large volume knob. The sound is excellent...

              RSX-1056: 7.1 analog input for Blu-Ray
              by fvoelling
              Hi,

I've been running a 1056 with a 7.1 speaker setup for a couple of years now, and started watching Blu-Ray movies from a PS3 80GB model last year. The PS3 is connected to the 1056 with digital coax and component.

Since my current setup is limited to 5.1 and 6.1, both...

Rsp-1066 No Zone Or Analog Audio Outs
              by jimbo2
I am running an optical input to Video1 from a satellite receiver. I have 5 cable outs of 5 channels (RCA audio) outputs going to amp, but need to have additional 2 channel outs to the TV so I can have amp system off for quite viewing. My question is, when I set record and zone outs to Video1, I get...

No sound sent to VCR via RSP-1068

              G'day,

I'm trying to record the output of my set-top box to my VCR, but I'm not getting any sound. I get the video, but not the audio.

The audio output of the set-top box is connected to the RSP-1068 using an optical cable. The VCR gets audio via analog output from the...

digital or analog sound from satalite to 1068?
              by malcky
I have been experimenting with music channels on sky satalite to see if the optical out was better than the analog in stereo (optical ) or bypass (analog) on the 1068.

On my old processor i was using the optical out only for everything thinking it would be better, Boy was i wrong....
