hello during playback of dvds if i pause fastfoward or go to the dvd menu and chose to watch previews there is no sound and the DTS logo is replaced with dolbypllx I have to turn it off and back on to get sound my dvd player is set to bitstream I have had the 1068 for only 6 weeks any help would be appreciated

I think the problem you are having was fixed in 1.2.1:
V1.1.9 to V1.2.1 - Fixed an intermittent problem of units locking into “Standby” mode until the rear panel power toggle was engaged. - Improved digital input sensing and format detection. This improvement fixes any problems with no audio when changing channels with some Scientific Atlanta HD digital cable boxes.
1.2.2 is the newest version that fixes a bug with 1.2.1.
Some people have had issues with certain DVD players before, but I never heard if 1.2.1 fixed there issues or not.. There are plenty of threads detailing how to perform the upgrade, get it up to 1.2.2 and see if you still have the problem.

Bit confused maybe someone else can shed more insight ... I recently emailed Rotel Europe asking if the RSP-1068 would accept/play the 640Kbps DD 'high bitstream' audiotrack or not via optical, and they replied as follows:
"Dolby specify that all standard DVD's with a 'Dolby Digital'...
