I am thinking of buying an used Rotel RB991 to add to my HT setup. I will use the pre-out of my Denon AVR 3805 to connect to the power amp to drive my Dynaudio Audience 82 speakers.

What's your opinion on Klipsch RF3 & Rotel RB991 power + RC1070 pre. Source as NAD 541i. I found the sound from above combo is bright & loud & not very balanced. My feeling is RB991 may be too much power (200rms/ch) for RF3s, since it's a high efficiency speaker... -
I've noticed that some of the RB991's have a removable power cord and a THX stamp on the lower front panel. I'm assuming these are the newer versions?? Does anyone know what year Rotel made this switch?? Putting aside the power cord "sonic improvement/snake oil" argument for a minute, is there...
