    popping during power up

Well I'm trying to sort through some of the issues right now with my 1066 as I'm wondering why I sent it out at all between this and the issues with my other post.
When I power up the 1066/1075 I have a popping sound in my speakers. It seems to be the only time it occurs. I've checked and rechecked my connections and they all seem to be fine. I'm using 12gauge to my fronts and center, and 14guage to my rears, all with bannana clips. Any idea on what would cause this? Is it a wiring issue? I didn't have this before the upgrade with the BM and firmware.
Also, my unit is also not automatically recognizing DDEX either and I have the newest firmware.
I'm sure as heck wondering if I should have had any of these updates completed as my unit was perfect before.
    Thanks,
    Shane

Yeah, I read your other post. Hopefully, Mike will be able to come up with something. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with your speaker cables or their gauge though.

By the way, I don't feel you were wrong in having the mod and upgrade done. Something went awry though.

Does firmware 2.26 really fix popping
      by maddog
      Hello,

I have an RSX-1055 with the speaker popping bug when changing sources and surround modes. I installed firmware 2.26, which is supposed to fix this popping bug. However, it did not. In fact, it had no effect on the popping in my system whatsoever. The full version of the firmware...

There's a new firmware available for the 1055 and 1066. You can find the two versions of the files here on my site. Please remember that the version 1.50 is only for the first generation models. If you're not 100 percent sure which you have press and hold mute till your current firmware is displayed...

I bought a 1066 a couple of weeks ago and noticed today that I have a popping coming from all of my speakers about every 3 seconds. I turned to volume all the way off and the popping is still there. I put my hand on the edge of the woofer on my SVS and you can feel the speaker move when popping! I purchased...

      Popping sound in RSX1055
      by audunth
      Hi!

I have a RSX-1055 connected to a RB-985 for the front and center channels. When I turn it on with the remote, I get a popping sound from the surround and center back speakers, which are connected to the internal power amps, but not from the front/center which are connected to the...
