Do I need 2 sets of component....

    cables for my 1066?

One set from DVD to 1066, then another set from 1066 to TV?

I thought I could just run 1 set from the DVD directly to the TV.

    Am I missing something? :?

you have it right, but if you have 2 items with component outs, and your tv only has 1 set of component inputs, then you need to run it through the 1066.

However, the best connection is straight into the TV

      Hi guys,

I just replaced my Denon 3802 with a Rotel 1066 yesterday, hooked up to a Rotel 1075 amp. I haven't had much of a chance to listen to it yet but so far it sounds awesome.

I have a problem with my video connections though. I had no problems with the Denon 3802 so...

A Panasonic DVD-RP91K for 4:3 an non-anamorphic DVD's, and a Panasonic DVD-XP30 for everything else. I also have an HD...

When calibrating your system with an SPL and say the AVIA disc (or some other) Where do you start with regards to the volume setting on the 1066? Do you set everything flat (i.e. factory defaults,) and then turn up the volume to a certian number. Or do you set the system flat, and turn up the volume...
