1066 component switching question?

I have a new 1066 as well as a new Pioneer Elite Pro630HD RPTV. It only has 2 component inpus, as well as 2 HDCP DVI inputs. Right now I have no DVI devices, and 3 component devices. A Panasonic DVD-RP91K for 4:3 an non-anamorphic DVD's, and a Panasonic DVD-XP30 for everything else. I also have an HD cable box that has component for the HD. I am one input shy on the TV. I thought of running both DVD's into the 1066, and putting the component out of the 1066 to the Pioneer. My problem is I'm getting audio & video on only one DVD player. Audio works on both. Can this be done?

That should work perfectly so I'm not sure why it isn't doing what you think it should. Can you provide us more specific detail on what's exactly pluged into which input on the 1066?

Well, it seems the problem is with the top component input. I unplugged them & tried each input. The middle one works as it should, but when I unplugged them both & tried tthe top one, nothing. With the middle one working, my Elite reads it as component 33K. With the top input, it shows nothing. It seems to me like this set of component jacks are dead. DAMN. I have been having some problems with these things. Luckily, this is a loaner from my dealer. I'm awaiting a new replacement unit.

Fixed. I talked to Mike @ Rotel, & he is super helpful. The component inputs are not labeled, but they are Video 1 & Video 2 respectively. The problem was I had my cable box in Video 1 on the analog audio side. I had to designate Video 3 for the cable box, voila! Everything works perfect!
