Anyone here tried this combo? How much better is 3910 over 2910? Too bad Rotel doesn't have a universal player that plays both SACD and DVD-A and supports 720 p upconversion and HDMI output.....

I will add that one thing the 3910 has over the 2910 would be the 3910 has an adjustable crossover for bass management where as the 2910 is fixed at 80.This adjustable crossover is very nice for multi channel music, you can blend in the sub much better.- Bottom

If you listen to a lot of audio, the 3910 is probably worth the difference over the 2910. For me, the video quality was the only concern, so I opted for a 2910. The 3910 and 2910 video output should be essentially the same. I do not even have the analog outputs hooked up for DVD-A/SACD.- Bottom

I have the 2900/1068 combo and I am very pleased with it. It tried the 3910 as an upgrade but was sonicallly very dissapointed. However if you need HDMI the 3910 is a fine choice.
You will be amazed by the sonic difference SA-CD of DVD-A has to offer. If only you can find the material.Marantz AV8802, Marantz UD8002, Rotel RB-991 and RB985mkii, Rotel RD960
