I've never really used the LFE output on my 1066 since I use Def Tech towers with built-in subs. With just the towers hooked up to L/R, the sound in movies is great and there's plenty of low frequency response. However, I thought I'd experiment and see how it performed differently if I used the optional LFE inputs on the towers.
After hooking the towers up using a T connector so both were connected to SUB 1 on the 1066, I went into the OSD and set the Subwoofer to "ON". Then I went to the Test Tones page and I couldn't get anything on Subwoofer. I tried SUB 2 instead, tried different cables, and tried using just one tower at a time... still nothing. With the sub volume on the tower maxed and the test tone maxed, I can barely make out a test tone (so something is there, just extremely quiet). Am I doing something wrong, or is the LFE output from my 1066 not working correctly?
