I just traded in my DTR 6.8 for a 7.8. My dealer had some leftovers sitting on the shelves and he wanted to make room for the .9s. I don't think it was a bad deal at all, my less than a year old 6.8 and $200. :T I didn't pay anywhere close to msrp for the 6.8 anyway. So out the door I have a 7.8 for considerably less than than a 6.8 retails for.
I have to say the extra power seems to make a difference driving my Paradigm Studio 100s. With the 6.8 it always seemed like something was lacking, like the 100s were holding back. I only have a 5.1 set-up so I use the bi-amp feature, which I was doing with the 6.8 as well. The 7.8 is built like a tank, it seems nearly twice as heavy as the 6.8. I am very happy.
