    Cable remote

    Hi

Does anybody know where i can find the connection cable for remote control of the c2 parasound? Is an Rs232 cable to 3.5mm jack (with 2 or three rings?) My seller send me an USB to 3.5mm jack with three rings) on a box but my laptop does not recognize it at all. Maybe an Rs232 converter is missing? My cable its only a cable and does not seem to do any convertion. Is there any diagram to make a cable?
I attach a photo from my cable
Also i download the last software version for C2 v1.1 and i didint find that has the last changes such lipsync and dsp modes ( IIx ) or tone frequencies either. Is that missing or is that me i can not find it?

    Thx
    nick

You need a 3.5mm stereo plug to 9-pin female D-sub. Note that this is not a standard off-the shelf cable. (I have a few of these special cables. PM me if you need one).

If your computer does not have an RS-232 port, you will also need an USB to RS232 adapter.

The cable in your picture will not work unless you snip off the USB connector and replace it with a D-sub connector...

Well I guess it's true... a USB cable can make a difference.

This is the third upgrade I've done. My original cable was just a cheap USB cable I got from who knows where and it worked sounded good and no complaints.

This all going to my Musical Fidelity V-Link 192.

Then I upgraded my usb cable to a Wireworld Ultraviolet cable and...

      Rotel Firmware update -- info
      by chamath
I would like to share my 2nd upgrade experience with you so hopefully you would not run into the same issues I had. I have a Rotel RSX-1057; however, the issue described below would apply to any upgrade as it was not a Rotel problem.

      Firmware: (1057)
      my system = 2.1.2

      RSP976 RS232 woes
      by roscoe62
      Hi there!

I am trying to get my HTPC to send RS232 commands to my Rotel RSP976 but I'm not having much luck!

I purchased a PCI card that adds 2 comm ports to my PC (com3 & 4) and they show correctly in XP. I constructed the cable as outlined on this fine forum and I'm...

      Cisco Cable for RS232?
      by phuz
I think I'm finally going to update my RSX-1056, and I'm wondering if a regular cisco cable that is used for switches and routers will work? My receiver didn't come with the RS232 cable.

      RC-1570 PC-USB cable/connection
      by RonLenker
      Hello,
I recently purchased an RC-1570 pre-amp as a replacement for a RC-972 in a stack of 2 channel Rotel gear. Before placing into service, I was persuaded to provide the ability to spin some vinyl at the beach with some college friends, so for the time being it is feeding some KRKs and a REL...
