Is this a good idea?

I have the opportunity to purchase the following for $900:

B&W
B&W 602 with stands
B&W CC6
B&W DS6
FSX-12 (Velodyne Sub)
Yahama VR995 receiver
Monster Power Conditioner and a huge box of monster cable

All of the equipment is 6-8 years old and very well taken care of. At the moment, all we have is a Panasonic TC-P60GT30 and a 10 year old Panasonic bookshelf system that's about 10 years old and cost $150 new. Is this a good start to a home theater system? Our room is 13'x25'x9', and our couch is about 13' from the TV. I worry that the 602s aren't going to do the job.

Any advice could be greatly appreciated!

That's a pretty good price. I am letting my 604s3, LCR600, 602s3 (with stands) go for $1250 and they've been modified, which can be either a plus or minus depending on how you look at that.

So you're getting similar (not quite) the same in speakers...plus sub, receiver, and a Power conditioner... it's a pretty fair price. It may not be the best in the world, but I wouldn't say you're getting ripped off by any means.

602's are a fantastic speaker.. One of the best 600 series speakers IMO.. Are the ones you are looking at S2 or S3?

They are s2.

It's still a pretty decent deal. I think the s3s were a little bit better than the s2, but they aren't bad by any means. Over all I still think it's a pretty decent deal.
