"its sets them at full range and crossover at 40hz" That implies double-bass. I suggest you change the setting to SMALL and let the crossover do its thing.

will that effect the performance of the cm9 not using them full range.i have them biamped does that change your suggestion any.also what would you suggest for a crossover setting.i have it temporarily hooked up to a onkyo tx sr605 and it set it up at full with a crossover of 80 and yes double bass.the denon did not mention double bass but im sure you are correct.thanks for your help kal

Well, double-bass means that the main speakers are full-range but the sub (or subs) is getting the LF information below crossover as well. This is not good acoustically but some like the boom. Biamping is irrelevant.

For crossover, I would let Audyssey decide (40Hz and turn off double bass) since it depends not only on the speaker but on its acoustic environment. A picture or room diagram might help.

OTOH, what is the problem leading to your dissatisfaction?

            RSP-1066 and sub crossover point
            by terry78
I purchased a RSP-1066, RMB-1075, and RDV-1080 in December and have been trying different settings with my Paradigm speakers. My dealer told me to use the 1066's 80 Hz sub crossover point and set the sub's internal crossover to 150 Hz (i.e., its max position). My sub is a Paradigm PW-2200. After a month...

            Hi guy's

I allways had my sub crossover on the Rotel RSX 1057 on 100hz. I have a large room and like little bit more bass. Recently i got a new Paradigm Servo 15 V2 to replace my old mission Sub. Anyways now i developed a Poping sound when the receiver changes settings from prologic to...

building active speakers with sub: how to do sub crossover?
            by neb001
I plan on building a set of Zaph's B3S speakers, with integrated amp (exact model TBD, most likely a 41hz.com amp), and a sub consisting of a Tang Band W5-1138SM paired with a Dayton 70W amp. My friend that I plan on giving this to mostly uses their (completely underwhelming) current speakers for their...

            by augerpro
FINALLY got my BoseBuster sequel done and written up!! I've shortened the name to BBV2 so I don't get any hassle from Bose. Next I'll be finishing the Scan Disco TM and MTM, the other flavors after. My Soma Sonus site is now hosting my projects. Here is copy of that page:

Sub Setttings - Lack of Bass
            by Club1820
Hello. I have a couple of questions regarding the settings for the sub on the 1068 pre/pro.

I currently have my M&K VX-860 250 watt sub volume level set at Reference and also set to bypass its crossover settings in favor of the pre/pro. On the 1068 I have the crossover set...
