    B&W M1 for bedroom?

Hi there.. Im thinking to get B&W M1 speakers for my bedroom which is 4.35 m x 2.7.. They would be on long wall about 2 meters from each other.

In the room is bed which is 2,2m x 1,9m and since there is not too much space i have to put speakers on wall.. I was thinking B&W 686 or CM1 but they have depth of around 27 cm, which is problem there (one of the speakers would be where i enter the room and to continue to one side of bed), and between bed and the wall there is only 45 cm left to pass.

What do u think about M1 speakers for those purpose? Also im thining if i go with them which amp to use.. To use my Denon 3808 reciever or to get Rotel RA-1062? Would be there a big difference between each other? Source would be Rotel RCD-1072 or Musical Fidelity V-DAC.

    Greetings

Are you talking about a 5.1 setup or just 2-channel?
If you have a sub, a 5.1 setup of M1's in a bedroom would be nice.
For 2-channel, I didn't really like it when I had a pair of M1's in the bedroom. They sounded too tiny to fill up the room with 2 alone.

Im talking about 2.0 setup. If not M1 what are my alternatives?

Can u tell me more about "being tiny" please?

p.s. And one more question.. Sorry to mention the brand and type of cable but i have to.. I installed Audio Quest Type 4 Cable.. Now im afraid that is too thick for the M1 mounted on Wall.. What do u think? Is it possible to use thise cable or i have to find some other speaker solution (cable is in the wall..I Can't replace it)

A month late. Sorry about that.

I had a pair of M1 in my bedroom. Though they sounded nice, they just couldn't fill the whole room with good quality. Now, when I had the 5.1 system, they filled the room very nicely.
Think of it in the same way as when people talk about speakers/headphones that lacks bass, but has quality bass. Sure, it may sound good... but too small for one's wantings. 5 of them combined really make up for it.

I personally am using a pair of B&W 600 S3 (now replaced with the B&W 686). I think, for the price, a used pair of 686 or even the 600/601 S3 is a much better match than the M1's for a 2.0 bedroom setup. Size wise, the CM1's also fit the bill, but much more expensive. Check out audiogon or videogon for some good deals.
What kind of components will you be using?

In regards to the cable, I think the largest I was able to fit in the M1's were 16 gauge.
If the cable is already in the wall, I would solder (use good quality solder) a small extension of 16awg cable to the speaker wire that is already going to the wall.

Bedroom Setup / Looking for recommendations

Here's my little bedroom stereo. Some Panasonic microsystem system that I bought some years ago, matched with a pair of B&W M1s. The M1s sound 10x better than the speakers that came with them. I like the way it looks. It sounds pretty smooth, but I would like to get a fuller smoother sound....

I'm looking for ideas here.

I have a 19" LCD mounted on the bedroom wall, and want to hook up a DVD player that's small enough to not get in the way of the small walk area to get to the other side of the bed. Do they make some sort of wall-mount cabinet that opens when...
