    802N vs. 802D

The first time I heard a pair of 802N's, I fell in love A few years later in the same room but possibly different components (Century Stereo), I heard the replacement and was not wowed that much. Does anyone prefer the Nautilus series, especially in the 802's?

    thx

The equipment can make difference. If memory serves, they have the 802Di connected to Mcintosh equipment. Ask them to connect the 802Di to the Classe CP-800 and associated Classe amp (I dont remember which one they had connected). I believe they have the 805di connected to it currently.

Yup... And it is hard to duplicate that first experience of listening to a high end setup.. Even if you listen to one that is even better it may not bring that same experience..

I remember as a teenager hearing my uncles B&W 602 with a pioneer elite reciever and I was floored. I had never heard anything sound that good before.. I have spent many many dollars chasing that same feeling, and yet even with far better equipment and sound I cannot capture the same excitement I had that day.
        Main System:
        B&W 801D
        Emotiva USP-1 Pre-Amp
        Chord SPM-650 Stereo Amp
        Oppo BDP-105
        Squeezebox Touch

        Second System:
        B&W CM7
        Emotiva UMC-1
        Emotiva UPA-2
        Oppo BDP-83SE
        Grant Fidelity DAC-09
