I've moved into a new apartment. While replaceing the power outlet (used for my rig) with my Shynyata Research SR-Z1 outlet, I notices there was no ground wire. What impact with this have on my gear? Make note that I have the Rotel power conditioner.

It means you're likely to light yourself up if there's a) a wiring fault, b) equipment fault. If hot and neutral are reversed, its possible to have a live chassis (no path to earth) which can kill. Get an electrician to check the wiring, if it doesn't meet code, either get the landlord to bring it up to standard, or move.
Having said that, I think Rotel only use two prong power plugs, but I would still have an electrician check that the apartment meets regulations: you might have other issues, like with kitchen appliances, etc.- Mike

I just ordered the high-current, 15-amp version of the PS Audio Ultimate Outlet power conditioner. I'm quite sure the power cords supplied with the Rotel pre/pro and the amp (and my Arcam CD player, if anyone knows) are 15-amp cords, but I just want some confirmation. Thanks. -
I receive 100amp service to my home. My power conditioner NEVER stays at a constant voltage. It varies between 122.1 - 124.4 The home was built in the 1950 with original service to home. (3 individual power cables coming from the pole to the home). It should read 120 correct?
