B&W Choices... pulling the trigger today.

I've followed somewhat the 703S vs 804S debates...and the concern of some that the 703 might actually have a fuller sound with more bass.

I have the JL Audio F113 sub on bass duties, so I'm hoping that will not be an issue. Is that a safe assessment?

I'm about to pull the trigger on new 804S and HTM3S. I wish...but simply can't afford the 803D at this time.

Is the HTM3S twice as good as the HTM4S, as even the HTM3S is a big reach for me.

Decisions decisions... these are going to replace my existing 600 set...

    Thanks,
    Nikos

If you are going to get the 804S for the front left and right you should get the HTM3S. There is a pretty big difference between the HTM4S and the HTM3S just like the difference between the 805S and the804S. The midrange on the HTM4S is very good, but the FST in the HTM3S is very different than the mid-woofer in the HTM4S. If you can do it, get the HTM3S.

804S better than 703 - simple as that.

        Thanks for the input...

Any other center that would match the 804s?

even from a previous series... as I might just get a used center to save a bit of cash...

The matching center from the previous (Nautilus) series is the HTM1.

So am I getting this right??

            HTM1D>HTM2D> HTM1 > HTM3S> HTM4S

Correct? The HTM1 was $3k new and the HTM3S is $2500 based on the new pricing...

If so HTM1 might be a no brainer for me.

No...I believe the HTM3S is a newer (and better) replacement for the HTM1.

I did a quick search, and it looks like the MSRP of the HTM1 is $2K (not $3K).

Definately go with the HTM3S! You won't regret it.

ok will do... HTM3S it is.

I was going off of an auction listing that had the original MSRP @ 3k...

                  thanks for clearing that out.
