Try different settings- the more you relieve the amp and speaker from having to drive those lower frequencies, the more improvement you should see in your midrange. If you have a capable, musical sub I would take it up as high as you can until you start to be able to locate the sub, maybe 80 Hz or so.- Bottom

The 805 is a ported speaker. All bass below the tuned frequency of the port is out of phase with the woofer. I'm not sure about the new 805S, but the N805's port was tuned to 42Hz.
Most subwoofers have a -12dB slope. In my opinion, the best way to augment the bass of the 805 it to start with the sub out of phase with the 805 and the high-level crossover set at -12dB from the port frequency. Then start experimenting.- Bottom
