upgrade to 800d's...turns out B&W's are garbage...way over priced garbage..
there are a lot better speakers out there for a lot less money..

according to AV Science Forum....

but the problem I'm having is... I'm having a hard time finding any that I like as much..perhaps I should go see an ear Doctor...

Don't worry, make your ears happy. Go to the stores. Listen to a bunch of speakers. Buy the ones you like the most, that fits your budget. Don't choose speakers by reading forums . . .

I was mildly amused by the thread over there, last I checked, it was 14 pages long...B&W was getting attention..

my listening comparison experience is still somewhat limited. I have exhausted all the dealers in my area...

This hobby(?) ...is almost an obsession (?) ..I find myself planning trips and vacations to places that have hi end audio gear dealers...but it's probably just a coincidence and nothing to worry about..

so far I would like to, and am saving for some 800's and I may well find some that are better..but since I've heard the 800's they're my first love and it'll be hard to beat...my first love

but most important ....I'm having a good time

The last thing i would say is B&W's are overpriced garbage but i know i'd take a pair of Martin Logan Summits over a pair of 802d's any day. i'd have to do a very critical comparison between the summits and 800d's if i had the budget to allow for them.

Ok, I raise your avsforum with the Stereophile review of the 802D's. Now we have two conflicting points of view. So what do we do??

I know of a website which hates Audioquest cables. Other sites don't like the US of A. So what do we do. Myself, I'm of the age where I don't let others do the thinking for me.

They say they're garbage. Just garbage. I wonder how many have compared or even heard the 800D's? Or are all those thread contributors just parrots and can only repeat what they have heard someone else say.

I know of others who behave in a similar fashion. They're called children. We love them, but understand what they say is not always true.

mostly written by a few individuals ..the main culprit stating that sub/sats are better than B&W and floor standing speakers...by the way I believe he sells and owns NHT Xd system..

I am curious though I did find a dealer near me..guess I'll go check out
the NHT sub sats..

and I did find a review on stereophile re: NHT Xd..the reviewer did state they were good...for what they are... but could match his own 802d's

This just figures, I find this out now, the day I bring home my new 703s! Why didn't I find this out BEFORE today and save myself from having to listen to music coming out of these speakers that are "garbage". What luck! :W

That would be John (Joel ?) who posts under Alimentall. He jumps on ANY post dealing with B&W and bashes B&W and praises NHT.

I think someone from B&W ran over his dog or something.

When someone goes out of their way to post such biased negative opinion against something, I question their real motive regardless of how intelligent their argument is.

It is entertaining to read the threads though. I've thought about replying, but realized it's a not worth it. A couple of B&W owners have tried to voice their opinions but have been basically beaten down by the anti-B&W crowd.

I totally agree that they're solid speakers but i was never in awe when i demo'd them. I think in that price range there is a lot of serious competition.

Wow........ B&W's are Garbage.

So Abbey Studio's one of the best if not THE best recording studio in the world and Lucas Films has chosen B&W not to mention a host of recording artists as well.

But for those who think they are Garbage, throw them out and let me know before the garbage man comes I'LL BE THERE
