    I just bought N802D!

Well, I have wanted to upgrade my CDM 7SE for some time. I was looking at the 802 and the 803. I thought the 802 was beautiful but too serious a speaker for my modest one beadroom apt. Anyway, I thought the 803D sounded very good (especially compared to my CDMs). But the 802D was just amazing. The dealer had a 30% off sale and I just couldn't say no. Now I'm a little nervous about how big these 802Ds are and how much space they'll need. Plus I dread the day I have to move these two! But it is exciting to have such beautiful and fine speakers. The delivery is tomorrow!

Just tell your wife the 802Ds are for her. I have a krell 300cx, krell kct, and krell 28c cd player. I also have a REF subwoofer but am not sure I'll still need it. Any thoughts? My poor neighbors...

The 30% discount came as a result of a one day inventory clearing plus the item was a demo pair (which I like since they have been broken in already). All of my equipment for the past 5 years has been demos giving me better product at low price with full warrantees.

I had spent months testing out the 803D and 802D and some other ones. I knew when the price was right I'd be ready to jump on it quickly since I had done my homework. The one thing that is most concerning to me is you never can tell how well the speakers will sound in your home environment till you own them but I figure these speakers are going to last me longer than my apartment will.

Can you please explain the "when they first come you will have to make some adjustments for sure" part of your email?

                  Ayre + 802D = AMAZING!
                  by tboooe
Based on some posts by jkalman, I decided to give the ayre k-1xe preamp and V-1xe amp a listening to with the 802D. Actually, my dealer first hooked them up to some Magenpans. Very clear sound but a little bright and not much bass. To their defense, the Maggies were new.

                  I was totally...

                  Thinking of upgrading - 802D? 803D? Keep my CDM7se?
                  by karelm
Hi, I'm a new member and have a few questions. I currently own a pair of B&W CDM7se and want to upgrade to the new nautilaus line.

At my local B&W dealer, I auditioned the 802D which looks fantastic but I found the sound stiff considering its intimidating price and design. It...

                  Room size and B&W 802D/803D?
                  by karelm
                  Hi,

I am thinking of purchasing either an 802d or 803d pretty soon. I have read that these speakers are sensitive to room placement and wanted to know if it is a bad idea to buy such nice speakers if the listening room is pretty small? How far away from the back wall should they be...

My thoughts on 802D with Classe M400
                  by xk8boy
                  Okay guys,

I’ve been demo’ing the Classe’s M400 with my 802D. My intention is to provide some feedbacks to those interested. I searched the web and couldn’t find any satisfactory comments about the pairing of these two. If there're questions, I’ll try my...

                  802D 4.0 vs. 803S 5.1 Set-up
                  by KyaDawn
I just bought a new house and am planning the home theater system. My current home theater is about 5 years old now, so I'm looking to get new everything.

For the speakers, initially I was decided on 2 B&W 803S for the front channels, the HTM3S for center, either the SCMS or DS8S...
