Room size and B&W 802D/803D?

Hi,

I am thinking of purchasing either an 802d or 803d pretty soon. I have read that these speakers are sensitive to room placement and wanted to know if it is a bad idea to buy such nice speakers if the listening room is pretty small? How far away from the back wall should they be positioned optimally?

My room is about 13 feet by 16 feet. If I have to put them at two feet away from the back wall, they are pretty much in the middle of the room and I'm concerned there isn't enough space to do these speakers justice. ANy thoughts?

Karlem. fear not, I have the 802D in a room size 14x14. those speakers can be placed 2-3 of feets away from the wall.

I have 802d and the part of the room I use for them is 15 x 15ft and they are definitely away from the wall. !!

i used to have 803's in a room thats about 12 x 17 and i thought they were fine. i was able to get pretty good placement. (i think at least)

really small, how much room you leave to control the bass output, both from the rear and sidewall.

thats is pretty small, it doesnt look like that on the fotos.
My room will be 6x4 meters.
but i want them also for the future.
