    Silvercats are breaking in nicely!

These cables are growing on me.

At first I noticed a change in the extreme highs and lows, now it's more of a sweeping change. I think some of the change is due to me getting accustomed to a bit more detailed sound. Another part may be due to the new tubes I'm using Sylvania 1952 6SN7GT's (sweet synergy)! My pre-amp is wired with harmonic tech silver wire also .

My favorite thing about the cables aside from the sound is the locking connectors. This IMO is priceless!

    Silver speakerwire is next.

I noticed the increased highs and lows, too, when I added a Thundercats digital cable between my Sony 7700 dvd player and my Denon receiver. And those connectors...really sumpin'. Doug really knows how to make cables.

Thanks Nate and George! Glad you both like your cables.

Also, Nate, I think that was the 500th post here, nice honor for it to have paw prints on it, lol.

      Thanks,

Cool Nate, and your Silvercats looked awesome, if I don't say so myself. That new crystal clear PVC tubing really makes that silver shine! :B

For those not in the know, I have upgraded the clearcat cover from a traditional vinyl to a PVC clear. I was having size and color variations in the vinyl, so the switch to PVC was a great one.

High End Cables Do Make A Difference
            by George Bellefontaine
Friday I picked up a package from the post office. It was an order I had been waiting for from CatCables, containing my Thundercats digital cable.
Most of my HT cables are a mix of Monster and Ultra Link, plus a custom made 27 foot set of component cables. My son, who is a tekkie in the commercial...

New photos up of current Silvercat product. I will admit, the former pictures were woefully out of date. These are actually some of you guys cables. I had to try out my new Nikon 5700 on them, and my my, I think those pictures are razor sharp!

Go here, use the drop down to Silvercats:...

RCD-1072 and Kingcats From Cat Cables
            by whmacs
            Hi All,
I've been using my new RCD-1072 cd player connected to my Perreaux Headphone amp and Sennheiser HD-650 headphones for a couple of weeks now. The level of detail produced by the RCD-1072 is outstanding. Combined with a good pair of headphones you don't miss a trick from the CD. Well, just...

            B&W CM1/CM2 breaking up
            by HibbardSmith
I have a pair of B&W CM1's sitting atop a pair of CM2 SubWoofers. I got them around 1987. They have always been absolutely wonderful.

Now, however, one of them has started breaking up quite badly at any level above 80 db. It seems okay but with occasional raspiness below this level....

            "Breaking in" equipment or ears??
            by thyname
            Hi guys;

When I first got my RCD-1072 I felt it sounded very harsh at the beginning and much better and warm in a week or so after several hours of play. That was all my certain perception. However, at another forum I participate, several guys argue against the concept of "Break...
