    Subwoofer connection

What benefit (if any) do we get when connecting to a subwoofer with a double cable to L+R or just using a single run? Is it necessary to split to both L+R?

    UC,

I believe when you use the L & R input of a sub, you get a 6db boost. I think that's right? So, it's a very inexpensive way to get more power output.

I use the Monster connection, and that is the in-coming cable to an two-way splitter with the 3-inch cable for the other "l" input.

On my Velodyne HGS-15 I had Lex fix me up a splitter as per Velodynes recommedation. It increases the input sensitivity. This is good if you use auto sensing. Initially at lower volumes my sub would cut off. Now I don't have that problem.

I have not noticed any additional output nor have I had to adjust any settings since I added the splitter.
