DVL-700 LD player has click noise

Looking for some help or a link.When my Laserdisc player spins up it has a clicking noise which sounds like its coming from under the laserdisc in the motor area.Anyone ever have this problem or know what it is...Thanks in adavance...Dave

Gee, I thought I was the last man on earth to still have a DVL 700 laserdisc player. Sorry I can't help. I rarely use mine anymore, even though I still have about 200 LDs I haven't been able to replace.

There appears to be three of us! And like you, I can't recall the last time using mine. It's been boxed up for sometime now. As I needed room in my rack.

I'm only guessing but, it sounds like the track for the laser may need lube. Or worst, a tooth maybe missing from one of the tracking wheels. Either way, it's probably simple to fix. If you could find the part.
