    RSP 1066 - RSP 1098 or NAD M15?

    Hi Guys,

I have a RSP 1066 and came across a guy selling the NAD M15 and another guy with a RSP 1098. I was thinking of upgrading but wasnt sure which to go with. I was leaning towards the NAD just cos i think its newer and more updated features? How much would the sound Quality increase over my RSP 1066?

I own the RSP-1098 and they are actually upgrading the S-video circuit to HDMI, (just the video). If it were my money I would go for the NAD M15 pre/pro, based on what I have heard thus far and the technology advancements. Good luck and keep us posted.

    Peace and blessings,

    Azeke

Hello Azeke, thanks for your response. Would you choose the NAD just because its newer and hence has newer features / connections, or do you feel its sound quality / surround sound processing will be better / improved over the 1098? I watch mainly HT.

        Good evening Lonewolf,

From what I have read it seems to have very good DACs for the money, as well as, it is more technologically advanced. I haven't actually had any personal experience with the NAD so I cannot attest to it's audio quality, but the reviews I have read seem very positive in this regard.

        Peace and blessings,

        Azeke

          Hello Lonewolf,

I cannot speak to the NAD however the 1098 is great sounding unit. I auditioned many processors before deciding on the 1098. I included many high end pieces such as Lexicon and Krell. For the money I could not find anything else that compared. Was Lexicon better...yes... but for substantially more money. I upgraded from the RSP 1076.

            Hello,
I'm blind and would like to know if I could use the OSD menu of the Rotel RSP-1068/1098.
I hope you guys can give answers on the following questions:
            1. When entering the mainmenu, is the cursor always on the first row? Or will it be on the menu item it was when you left...

In feb I had a chance of comparing side by side the rsp 1098 with the rsp 1066. at the time, I was thinking about upgrading from the 1066 to the 1098. the rsp 1098 was a loaner from my rotel dealer. I had the 1098 for one week. Although the 1066 is a wonderful unit, for my usage, ultimately, it was...

            RSP 1068 or Stereo Pre-Amp
            by Ross Smith
At present I have a RSP 1066 and the RB 985 power amp, previously I have owned the RSP 980 and the RSP 976. The 1066 is a nice smooth sounding Pr-Amp but compared with my other pre-amps I find it overly smooth. I would like a bit more bite in the treble region, with DVD's it's fine as it tames down...

Upgrade from RSP 976 to 1066?
            by mpauline
I am thinking about upgrading from my Rotel RSP 976 to the 1066 solely because I would like to have 6.1 versus 5.1 sound. Is it worth it or am I just buying in to the upgrade fever?

I listened to the 1066 at the dealers with 6.1 and honestly I could not really tell any difference. I thought...
