      Yes, the RC-1090 has recently been discontinued. If you look around you may still find a dealer that has one.

              I have the RC-1070 mathced with the RB-1070, I am happy with the couple. At the time I purchased I could not justify the $500 difference between the 1070 & 1090 preamps. There are some excellent reviews of the 1070 combo on the interent by various mags/writers. Not one I have read have given negative reviews.
